Cytology workshops on exotic pets under the supervision of Dr. Francesco Carrani from Pisa, Italy took place at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences on July 22 and 23, 2018.
During two intensive days, we trained in two groups in microscopic diagnostics and cytopathology. Our participants independently, under the guidance of our specialist, evaluated cellular material on slides using microscopes. A multitude of cases caused real dizziness, and the species discussed included rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, rats, chinchillas, degus and even… prairie dogs.
